From time to time, we’ll be showing you photos that tell the story of North Hills. Some of these photos will be from decades ago, some will be of today’s North Hills, and some will be renderings of what’s to come. All of these will serve to show how far North Hills has come and how much more creation and innovation is still on the horizon.

North Hills Mall originally opened in 1960 as a strip mall, and was then reconstructed into an enclosed mall in 1967. In 2001, Kane Realty Corporation purchased the mall site in order to create what we now know as North Hills and Midtown Raleigh. Below you’ll find photos of the old North Hills Mall, aerial photos of North Hills today, and renderings that show the amazing amount of growth over the past 14 years.
