Make the Most of Summer at North Hills

Summer may be coming to a close but that doesn’t mean the fun has to. North Hills has plenty of options to help you make the most of the season. We’re sharing some of the top to-do’s in Midtown to take advantage of the time left.

Beat the heat.

Everyone deserves a break from the hustle and bustle of summer. Treat yourself to a little indoor relaxation with a facial at Glo de Vie Med Spa or a manicure and pedicure at Paintbase Nail Bar. While you’re at it, pick out a summery outfit at one of North Hills' many boutiques. If you’re looking for friendly competition head to Kings; they have all the food, drinks, and games you could want. You can even play all day with their Sunny Day Premium Pass.

Shag through summer nights.

Once you’re feeling refreshed, keep up the good summer vibes with a night out. Test your smarts at World of Beer’s Tuesday Trivia, or hit The Commons Thursday night for some shagging at the Midtown Beach Music Series.

Sample summer flavors.

Pick up fresh summer veggies at the Midtown Raleigh Farmer’s Market or spice up your dinners at Sur La Table; they’re offering classes for adults and children alike. If cooking is not your thing, enjoy a seasonal dish or cocktail at one of North Hills’ many eateries.

Entertain the whole crew.

Treat your little ones to a peaceful story time at Quail Ridge Books Monday and Saturday mornings, or let them play at North Hills Kids’ Activities in the Park. With everything from dance to water activities, they’re sure to brighten up any Tuesday. Another option is Regal Cinemas’ $1 Summer Movie Express. They’ll be showing family favorites Tuesday and Wednesday mornings all summer long. If you need some “me” time, sign your kids up for Kids Night Out at Flour Power Kids Cooking Studio and enjoy a Friday night to yourself. With all Midtown has to offer there’s no time for summer boredom, but if you find yourself wanting more, buy a ticket to the Summer Daze Music Festival. Held in Coast Credit Union Midtown Park, this festival has all the extra music, food, and yoga you need to top off the season.
