Kane Realty to Break Ground on its Largest Project at North Hills Yet

Kane Realty will soon break ground on the highly-anticipated next phase of the Park District: North Hills East. The expansion of the Park District lives up to its name with a vision focused on greenway trails, outdoor fitness offerings, and public art exhibitions within the context of an urban environment. The office towers, apartments, and retail space are designed to encourage walkability and engagement with the outdoors.“Clearly North Hills is continuing to transform with great urban planning that’s focused on anticipating instead of reacting,” said Mike Smith, Kane Realty Corporation president. “It’s a place that’s positioning itself to accommodate the needs of tomorrow.”Immediately east of Church at North Hills Street, the Park District expansion is on 33 acres along St. Albans Street. It will be the largest project yet at North Hills, adding 300,000 square feet of office space, 200 hotel rooms, 250 high rise residences, and 330 new mid-rise residences. This will all be within walking distance of a multitude of shops, restaurants, and other amenities. The first two projects of this new phase of development are Vine North Hills Apartments and Tower 5.

Vine North Hills Apartments

Vine North Hills Apartments will be a mid-rise apartment building with a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom units. Vine reflects the vision of the Park District to connect with the natural surroundings by including indoor/outdoor fitness areas, immediate access to greenway trails, and a rooftop amenity space. It will also feature a courtyard with grills, a lawn, a fire pit, and a saltwater pool.

Tower 5

A 300,000 12-story Class A office building with 20,000 square feet of office retail, this new office tower will also provide opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. It will feature large open green spaces with rock structures, outdoor seating and dining areas, a pavilion for small concerts, and adjacency to the restored tributary of Big Branch Creek. It will also neighbor a future planned tower and food hall.
