North Hills Kids in the Park Pt. III
Now, more than ever, it is important to keep our children engaged and stimulated as we all work through this period of uncertainty. North Hills Kids, presented by Wells Orthodontics, is here to help! We will be picking up the weekly blog posts again following the originally planned theme. When we all work to #stayhome, we can move closer toward gathering outside together very soon!
This week would have been our NC Soybean Producer’s Day, so we are focusing on farming today!
North Carolina has a long history of farming that has shaped a lot of our state industry today. From soybeans to sweet potatoes, NC has a wide range of farms that produce all types of necessities for our world today. Visit the North Carolina Museum of History to read about the different farm chores that had to be done during the 19th century!

This Animal Mix-Up game is a great way for your young ones to learn which animal is which, and with only a few quick steps.
While we are still practicing social distancing, take a virtual trip to Dutch Hollow Farm in New York and learn about their dairy operation!

Get Involved!
The Food Shuttle Farm of Raleigh is a great way to get involved in the community and learn about farming! Volunteers are still welcome during COVID, and there are many different ways you and your family can help. From planting to harvesting, your children can see how food is grown and packaged for the community.
