Located in the breakfast area of the AC Hotel, Edgemont Series is a scraped tar on board art installation by Thomas Sayre. The Edgemonth Series was inspired by the barns of eastern NC and focus on the contract of light and shadow, obscuring the difference between being inside or outside of the structure. These pieces incorporate scraped tar that is sealed on the panels. Several of Sayre’s monumental sculptural works are featured in the public spaces around North Hills.
