North Hills and the North Carolina Museum of Art are pleased to unveil the Art Box at North Hills, a unique new public art display to showcase a rotation of original works by regional artists in an urban setting. The unveiling takes place today, June 7th at 6:30pm. The Art Box will open on the ground level of the Bank of America Tower, at the corner of Six Forks and Dartmouth Roads.
The Art Box at North Hills is a collaboration between North Hills and the NCMA to not only feature regional and NC art, but also share information about NCMA exhibitions and program opportunities with the community.
“We are excited about this new collaboration,“ said Marjorie Hodges, Director of External Relations and Special Projects. “The NCMA is committed to community outreach and fostering collaborative partnerships through art.”
We are excited about this new collaboration with the NCMA. The Art Box is a fascinating addition to North Hills for the entire community to enjoy and celebrate art in the Triangle.
The unveiling will also celebrate the addition of The Overlook to North Hills. Designed by renowned artist Thomas Sayre, The Overlook is a sculptural gateway that links North Hills’ Main and Park Districts with a grand stair and multiple levels for gathering. It is located between the CAPTRUST and Bank of America Towers.
