Kane Realty Corporation is excited to announce that Rosewater, a restaurant by Giorgios Group, will be opening in the Park District at North Hills. Located in the old Bruegger’s space, the restaurant is projected to open in 2019.

Rosewater is a concept rooted in seasonality and responsibly sourced ingredients that will bring to life the charm and intimacy of the village lifestyle. Inspired by North Carolina ingredients and Mediterranean flavors, Rosewater has the intention to be the center of the community, where people gather to celebrate in sharing honest food, craft cocktails and a well-curated wine selection.

Rosewater will be a full-service restaurant that also offers grab-and-go options during breakfast and lunch hours to cater to the thriving professional community situated at North Hills. With the weekend comes a brunch that will redefine the meaning of togetherness and relaxation. In the evenings, Rosewater will come alive for a seated dinner service that transforms the space into “the piazza where people gather to exchange laughter, bites, and great cocktails and wine…a true gathering center that everyone will be drawn to,” said Giorgios Bakatsias, owner of Giorgios Group.

Bakatsias learned to cook at the foot of his mother’s stove in the quiet village of Karitsa, Greece. He immigrated with his family to the United States at the age of 12. His parents’ small diner, above which the family lived, was his first introduction to Durham, North Carolina and the American way of life. He then obtained a global culinary education, learning in the kitchens of Paris, New York, and the Mediterranean. At 23, he had already developed several restaurant properties and conceived dozens more. Bakatsias is known not only as one of North Carolina’s top restaurateurs and restaurant design consultants but also as a source of boundless energy, an unmistakable laugh, and eternal optimism.

Giorgios Group has restaurants in Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, and Asheville including Vin Rouge, Parizade, and Bin 54. The North Hills location will be their first restaurant in Raleigh.
