Whether you frequent the North Hills Harris Teeter with weekly trips (or more!) for all of your grocery needs, have been a couple of times when it’s convenient, or have simply looked at this blog post’s cover photo, there is no doubt that our two-story Harris Teeter is something to be proud of.

This was the first two-story Harris Teeter in Raleigh when it opened on February 10, 2009. Prior to being located at the base of the Park and Market Apartments, this Harris Teeter was in the Lassiter District where Total Wine is now. The move not only gave this grocery store 26,000 additional square feet, but it also added access to 750 covered parking spaces and 24-hour service.

While many probably remember when Harris Teeter was located on the Lassiter side, do you remember what was in its place before HT opened? Back before the Lassiter District was the Lassiter District, and when North Hills was just a mall, Winn-Dixie occupied that space.

Take a look at our past and present pictures of what it took to arrive at the future, now our everyday fixture, Harris Teeter in the Park District.
