About A Moment in Time: Angela Nesbit and Sharon Bass Exhibit at ArtSource North Hills

A Moment in Time: Angela Nesbit and Sharon Bass

Artists Reception: May 18, 2017 6-8pm

Exhibition: May 18 – June 16

(Raleigh) In May we will be celebrating all things spring as we feature two artists whose colors and subject matter really speak of the season. Sharon Bass, of Raleigh, and Angela Nesbit, of Charlotte, both use a color palate that express the happiness of spring and the excitement of the moments in time to come.

Angela Nesbit’s objective when painting is to create an emotionally uplifting message, to change the viewer’s mood for a moment. Her pieces are layered with paint, which gives depth and interest. She begins with a strong underpainting and then uses as few strokes as possible to capture the subject.

Sharon Bass paints en plein air, which allows her to experience and portray the richness of her subject –  it’s surroundings, sounds, smells and happenings that come together to make it what it is. Her pieces tell a story that can only be learned through the patience of being there. Her paintings are colorful and exuberant. Her style is fresh, bold, and not overly bound by time or realism.

Please join us Thursday, May 18, 6-8pm, to embrace the spring season with beautiful artwork by Angela Nesbit and Sharon Bass. The event is free and open to the public. We will have lite bites courtesy of Midtown Grille and wine to supplement. The exhibition will go on through June 16. Gallery hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm.
